Overcome hindrances to a lean transformation

After so many lean projects, in the western world the satisfaction of the results obtained is below par, the efforts of the transformation are often much higher than what was foreseen and the Board is asking if there is a real return on the investments in time and energy involved. With no exceptions, the answers point to people reluctance in modifying habits and attitudes, adapting their mindset to a new philosophy. This is a paradox because lean thinking, in contrast to every other organizational initiatives, has the antibodies to the resistance to change in its own approach.
